We continued our demolition on the house this week. DH had several days off work because of the rain and thunderstorms. Metal, electricity, and rain....not a good mix!!

We're tearing down a little add on that the previous owner did not finish. It had seen the weather, and the wood was rotted out.
WOW!! He's strong! DH removing the satellite dish from the yard.
DH and DS2 started a fire ....................
we put it out with water 5 minutes later, because it started smoking really bad.
(and we needed a burning permit!)
DS2 and DD2 found a HUGE slug.

He tried to bend a couple nails with his shoe, and learned the hard way. Hammers work better on nails! We doctored him up when we got home. Epsom salt soak, spray with hydrogen peroxide, pour iodine over, lather on antibacterial cream with a bandage. We will continue to keep an eye on it this week.
DS2 and DW are working on taking nails out of the OSB boards.

(Ha! ha! that's just the start!)
We are finished for the day. We will come back tomorrow to finish taking the water heater and furnace out, take down a few walls, and finish tearing out the bathrooms. This will allow us to replace the floor that is rotted from a water leak. We are assuming it was from the water heater?
