Let it Snow!......already Snowed...

What it did here is indescribable, actually it is two words.....It Snowed. We were just enjoying the 50 degree weather days at the beginning of the week, which is kind of different from our old weather radar. My dad woke me up on this Saturday morning at 7:00 AM just to take pictures of the snow.......I am actually glad that he did because it felt like a whole new world, white fluff is everywhere, and it didn't even seem cold!

Mutt says HI!

I wanted to check and see if the creek was frozen......but I figured it wasn't since it was not that cold.

These pictures just show half of the picture, it is a lot prettier in real life.

On Vacation

Yes, we did take a vacation. Guess where? ......
1 hour away in Nashville.

Note: we did not get a vacation from all of our weekly activities, and since we weren't very far from home we went back to feed animals every other day.

                                        DAY: 1, Saturday

We arrived and got settled in for a nice long break from school.

Here is the girl's bedroom for the week

The family room,
DS1 not wanting his picture taken........

DS2 managed to grab a pillow for a quick face cover for him.

                                                      DAY: 2, Sunday

We invited the whole church to come and join us for supper, an evening of fellowship, games and dessert.

It was DD2's thirteenth birthday. So of course we had cupcakes.

Two peas in a pod
DS1 and a friend sitting on the couch reading magazines.

The girls were debating on how many people they could fit on the couch

Sitting around talking

DS4 was trying to act like a dog

We enjoyed being able to go swimming all week

DS4 loves wearing DD2's goggles

Since DS4 couldn't stay up very well even with floaties he had to have a older sibling to help him

Giving DS2 swimming lessons

DS4 on the pile of luggage after just getting home.

Friday night before coming home we invited all the girls over for a sleepover. Before going to bed we all went to the pool and swam until it closed, but before we left we sang this song.

I apologize about the beginning. We were trying to find the right starting note.

Hello 2015!

All the interesting stuff that is worth telling about started on Wednesday of this Week.............

Wednesday: We heard that our Grandpa and Grandma S. (or their nickname "Mint" and "Gum" which DS4 gave to them)  were coming to our house on there way down to Florida, sssssssssoooooooo we cleaned the house in 30 minutes, ordered supper, and got ready for there arrival. But there was one misunderstanding........ DD2 hopped in the shower and turned the water on, but the only thing that came out was a little trickle of water. She was thinking
"O great! just what I need!".
We figured out that one of our water pipes busted, so we did not have any water for a night and half of a day.

DS1 and DD1 played music for our grandparents.

The little kids usually ask Grandma to video tape them on her phone.

                                                             Dad and mom chill-in.
...................................................................................................................................................................

Us, kids made a trail that goes down to the creek. We cannot wait to go in it in the summer!

                                                                   Here is the trail.

                                                                          The Creek.
