Our favorite Christmas cut out cookies

We had a request for the recipe of our Great Grandma's Christmas cut out cookies so here is the recipe-

GRANDMA'S
CHRISTMAS CUT OUT COOKIES

1 c. Butter
1 1/2 c. Powder Sugar
2 1/2 c. Flour
1 t Cream of Tarter
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1 t Baking Soda
1/4 t Salt

Cream butter, add sugar, cream until fluffy, add egg and vanilla, beat well. Sift dry ingredients , beat into creamed mixture and put in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours, the dough can sit overnight in the fridge also. Bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes.

Frosting:

3 c. Powder Sugar
1 1/2 t Vanilla
3 T Milk

Put Powdered Sugar and Vanilla in your mixer, add milk, you will probably have to add more milk to get the consistency that you would like, also if the mixture gets to thin add more Powdered Sugar.

Our Christmas Update

This is a little of what we did during the Christmas Holiday!

Before we went to Illinois there was instrument playing, candymaking, etc.

DS1 playing his Dulcimer.

DD2 made a lot of Anise candy.

The younger kids enjoyed not doing school.

Merry Christmas!

This dog (below) is one of our neighbors:)

This dog may look really cute but in reality it is very annoying!
It has a habit of coming on our front porch and eating all the cats' food:(
Note from DS3: "It has a fancy tail!"

One morning we found all of our cats inside and the little kids (and DD1) playing with them.

DS4 made his own microphone out of a socket tool and a Christmas ornament:)

 2014 Stoller Christmas Tree

This is our kitchen ready for baking Christmas cookies.
(DD1 and DD2  had some of their friends over for a day)

This is the crew.......

And this is the finished product.
Thanks Great-Grandma for the best Christmas cut out cookie recipe ever!

This is what our girls' mirror looks like on Sunday mornings.
(We only have one mirror in the house at this time.)

Okay, how many of you think this looks like a space ship?
It is the light in the girls' bedroom!

This is dad's self-picture at work.  He is working at an industrial job in Gallatin, TN.
See the harness-- he is hooked up to a line all day long!
He works high up in the sky, and he loves it!

.............................................................................................................................................

This is a few pictures from our Christmas photos......enjoy!

The girls:)

The boys:)

We told DS4 that he was by himself (since he had the "I") which I think he took it literally, because each picture we took, the farther away he got from the rest of us:)

The kids.

If any of you were wondering where we took our pictures, it was at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.

Thanks for reading and.......

  MERRY

We had several happenings the day that we moved in, they were mostly because of DS4:)
Lets take a closer look..............

Yes! he was playing in our mud hole in the backyard.

That isn't all he did, he got into someones lotion.

We celebrated DD1's 15th birthday!

........................................................................................................................................................

Can anyone guess what we had for supper?

Afterwards we celebrated with one of our favorite types of cupcakes.

We just had to get some special candles:)

We made Christmas cookies!

...........................................................................................................

We celebrated DS4's birthday when we got back!

DD1 made them with food coloring, lets just say there was a LOT left.

He loved the tricycle that he got!

...........................................................................................................................

These are a few misc. pictures.......enjoy

We love the view every time we get eggs, isn't it great?

We took a picture one night after getting back from a Christmas tree lighting on our porch:)

Our mom decided to use a horse bucket for laundry since all of the normal laundry baskets usually break in a month after we buy them. Its working so far.

DD2 decided to spread a little bit of Christmas cheer:)

...........................................................................................................................................

We had our choir concerts, they were a little different from the Bach choir. (the choir we were in last year)

This is DD2 and DS1's choir.

He was suppose to have his shirt tucked in.

DD1 and DS1's Concert night.

Thanksgiving weekend we went to visit some friends, and DD3 got pink fingernail polish. One day I looked down at DS2's toes and was surprised to see pink toe nails, I asked him what he did to his toes and he was quite embarrassed as he admitted to having put on fingernail polish.

We came home one Wednesday night from church and as we were all sitting and eating a snack at the kitchen table. The conversation was on our neighbors dog (they have lot's of dogs and big ones too) we said that they had one but DD3 said "no, they have 2 dogs because I saw them on the mountain"
Note to self: We live in hills not mountains:)

CAUTION: If you ever visit, and you sit by DS4 at supper, (or any other meal) and you notice that your food is disappearing or A. B. C. (Already Been Chewed) food is appearing. That would be the result of DS4 eating off of your plate, and adding his unwanted food to yours.  This has been a regular happening at mealtime.
Another Note to self: This is not the result of DS4 having an empty plate, he just thinks that what is on your plate is better tasting than the food on his own. Remember the saying "the grass isn't greener on the other side".)

-One more- CAUTION: DS1 got his drivers licence!!!!

P.S. I forgot to do something on the post "We moved........again"  if you haven't seen the before pictures of the house (which I have added) you should go and check them out:)
